Welcome to the wonderful world of convenience store dining!
Looking back, I guess my own love affair with convenience store food began with the 7-11 behind the University of Maryland. For a starving student, at 3:00 in the morning, that place was a godsend. Of course, they offered staples at exhorbitant prices, but who cared? You were hungry and the 'China Cafe' was closed.
Not to mention, where else were you going to rehydrate after raving all night? Or buy your sister a birthday card when that hallowed day sneaked up on you? AND, despite the outrageous prices, where else could you scrounge together "dinner" with a dollar bill, 5 quarters, 3 dimes 4 nickles and 25 pennies?
Here is my celebration of convenience store food!
